Hiding, 2022

I created "Hiding" to act as an observer.  As you look inside, it looks back at you, but who is it really? They say the eyes are the windows to the soul, and it is my intention to have this piece act as a mirror into our very own selves. We often shut away difficult memories, but this painting urges us to confront them and free yourself from its grasp. Ponder on how they have affected you and who you are today because of them. Now give them love, give them confirmation, and give them acceptance.

"Hiding" isn't just a painting, but a prompt. What hidden parts of ourselves are we ready to acknowledge today?
